Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A fitness facility inspired by the popular show "American Ninja Warrior" will be expanding to other parts of western and central New York.
Co-owner Carl Fantauzzo opened The Warrior Factory on West Henrietta Road in Henrietta in May 2017. He was a contestant on the reality fitness program.
Inside The Warrior Factory, there are no treadmills and ellipticals. Instead there are dozens of obstacles just like the show.
Two new locations are slated to open by the end of 2019 in Buffalo and Syracuse.
“The partnership has been absolutely amazing so far,” co-owner Bernard Birnbaum said. “Kathryn and Kevin (the franchisees) have been asking all the right questions and we feel they are more than capable of carrying out the high expectations of The Warrior Factory brand."
The Buffalo location will be located on Transit Road in Buffalo and is expected to open in July-August 2019.
In addition, a family in Syracuse will be operating another location of The Warrior Factory. That facility will located in Township 5 in Camillus; it is expected to open in fall 2019.
